FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We focus exclusively on high-elevation origins across India and Southeast Asia—including specialty shade-grown Arabica from Sapa (Vietnam), monsoon-exposed beans from the Malabar Coast (India), and volcanic Java coffees from Indonesia. We work with smallholder farms prioritizing fair wages and sustainable harvesting.

Our single-serve drip bags allow you to brew fresh pour-over coffee anywhere without machinery:

  1. Tear open the top along the perforated line.
  2. Pull out the side paper anchors and rest them over your favorite mug.
  3. Slowly pour ~180ml of hot water (just off the boil, ~92–95°C) over the grounds in two or three passes.
  4. Remove the drip bag and enjoy!

We source high-elevation single-origin beans exclusively from India and Southeast Asia:

  • Vietnamese Arabica (Sapa Cloud): Grown in the high-altitude mountains of Sapa, offering smooth citrus, floral, and subtle plum notes with a medium roast profile.
  • Vietnamese Robusta (Saigon Dawn): Specialty-grade Robusta delivering a bold, full-bodied cup with notes of dark chocolate, toasted hazelnut, and natural caramel sweetness.
  • Indian Monsoon Malabar (Malabar Storm): Aged and naturally weathered by ocean winds along the Malabar Coast to reduce acidity, yielding a smooth, heavy body rich in dark cocoa, nut, and spice notes.
  • Indonesian Old Brown Java (Ijen Bloom): Aged Java Arabica featuring an earthy, deep flavor profile with notes of dried fruit, warm spice, and subtle cedar wood.

Plastic-Free & Biodegradable Filters: The drip filter bags are made from plant-based non-woven fibers (PLA/paper composite) designed to be compostable and break down naturally without shedding microplastics. These drip filter bags can be composted in the food waste bin or in your local industrial food composting site.

Eco-Friendly Outer Packaging: Our cardboard boxes can be recycled at home in your regular recycling bins.

Outer sachet packaging is made using recyclable material structures, keeping the coffee oxygen-fresh without relying on non-recyclable multi-layer foil/plastic laminates. Our foil wrappers can be recycled with other film plastic bags and sachets at your local participating supermarket.

Sustainably Harvested: All coffee grounds inside are sustainably sourced from smallholder shade-grown farms that protect biodiversity and local soil health.

Yes! Our Asian Origins Trio and Drip Discovery Sets are designed for sampling across our Vietnamese, Indian, and Indonesian single-origin roasts in one convenient package.

Monsoon Malabar undergoes a traditional curing process where green coffee beans are exposed to humid ocean winds along India's Malabar Coast for several months. This process reduces the coffee's natural acidity, resulting in a heavy body with notes of dark cocoa, roasted nuts, and spice.
